If you’re ever in Jersey City, stop by The Raven Gallery and Boutique to check out the Freakshow group exhibition. My drawing stubble is part of this awesome show, along with some other talented artist such as my pal Yetzenia Leiva! The Raven and her owners were featured on the local news station.
Last week, I carved a 150 lb pumpkin at Howell Farm’s corn maze in Lambertville for the Hopewell Valley Arts Council‘s aMAZing Pumpkin Carve. I had never done one like this before and it was a blast. The challenge was a lot of fun (pumpkins are juicy to carve) and it took me about four hours total – not bad! I also got the chance to do a 2 hour live demo over the weekend, which was also really fun chatting with people who stopped by to check it out. HVAC is an amazing organization which recognizes that artists’ time is valuable and pays us very well for our time. So much love to this group! Here’s a nice local TV clip about the event (check me out!).
The next big project coming up is my first solo show at _gaia studio in Jersey City on Saturday, November 4th from 6-9pm! Things are rolling along. I’m excited to see everything finished and installed in a short couple of weeks.
