klay-and-keefe-imageTonight Thursday, November 20th at 4:30pm two very talented U.S. Marine veterans will join us at Drew University in Madison, NJ for the evening.

Writers@Drew and the Casement Fund present author Phil Klay, who will give a reading from his recently published collection of short stories about his military experiences titled Redeployment, which won the National Book Award for Fiction last night.

And thanks to funding by the Andrew W. Mellon Arts and the Common Good Grant , David Keefe will share a presentation about Combat Paper NJ, an organization that teaches papermaking and printmaking to veterans to help them communicate their experiences visually. The presentation is funded by my Mellon student mini grant, with the remaining funds going to Combat Paper NJ’s workshops for veterans. Both guests will join in a Q&A after their presentations.
